Thumblore plans and what each one unlocks

Same generator on every plan. What changes is how many faces you keep and which tools unlock.

What each plan unlocks

Every plan uses the same generator and the same editor. What changes is how many faces you can keep, how many characters you can generate, whether the vertical format and the edit tabs are unlocked, and whether exports carry a watermark.

What you can actually do on Free

Free is a real tier, not a demo. You get 100 credits, one saved avatar, unlimited 16:9 generations while the credits last, and the custom edit chat — the one editor tab that is never locked, so you can still ask for any change in plain English. Downloads are full resolution and carry a small Thumblore badge.

What Free does not include: the vertical format, the preset editor tabs, AI-generated characters, and more than one saved face.

Which plan fits

  • Starter — one channel, one face, roughly a video a week. The watermark comes off, the 9:16 format unlocks, and the whole preset editor opens up.
  • Pro — the tier most working creators need. Unlimited saved faces means a face per series or per collaborator, and it is the first tier with face swap and pop-out in the editor, which is what makes reusing one layout across many videos practical.
  • Studio — agencies and multi-channel operators. Unlimited character generation, the largest credit grant, and the shortest wait on every generation. If you are running several brands out of one account, this is the tier built for it.

The upgrade that changes the most

Free to Starter removes the watermark. Starter to Pro unlocks face swap and pop-out — which is the difference between generating a new thumbnail per video and reusing one winning layout with a new face and headline. That second jump is the one that changes your workflow, not just your output.

How the limits behave

Limits are enforced where the action happens, with a message telling you which one you hit:

  • Avatar cap — reached at 1 on Free and 10 on Starter. Delete a saved face to free a slot, or upgrade.
  • AI avatar allowance — counted per calendar month and shown on the Avatars screen ("2 of 3 left this month").
  • Locked editor tabs — visible but marked with a lock, so you can always see what a tab does before paying for it.
  • Watermark — enforced at download time on Free, and not something a stored preference can switch off.

Changing or cancelling

Plans are managed from Billing & Credits. Cancelling stops future renewals and leaves your existing balance intact — you keep the credits you already have, and you drop back to Free limits at the end of the paid period. Saved avatars above the Free cap are not deleted; you simply cannot add more until you are back under it.

Frequently asked questions

What is actually usable on the free plan?

100 credits, one saved avatar, unlimited 16:9 generations while credits last, the custom edit chat, and full-resolution downloads with a small Thumblore badge.

Which plan unlocks face swap?

Pro. The editor's Avatar tab — face swap, pop-out, position and remove — unlocks at Pro and above.

Which plan removes the watermark?

Any paid plan. Starter is the cheapest route to watermark-free exports.

What happens to my avatars if I downgrade?

Nothing is deleted. You drop back to the lower plan's limits, so you cannot add new avatars until you are under the cap again.

Do I keep my credits if I cancel?

Yes. Cancelling stops future renewals; the balance you already hold stays in your account.
